Ash Jones MBE was born and raised in South Wales and began his professional journey at the age of 17 when he joined the Royal Air Force. After serving for ten years in the RAF he went on to build a distinguished career as a police officer in both England and Wales. Alongside his public service career he has been a dedicated volunteer with a range of charitable organisations and his commitment to community work led to one of his projects receiving the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award in 2017. Since retiring from law enforcement in 2020 he has channelled his experience into helping others through his work as a wellbeing trainer with a national military charity. He is going to take us today on an inspiring and emotional Journey through the stories of animals recognised for their bravery in wartime.
