Salisbury & District

About

We are a community of people no longer in full-time employment who share skills and learn from each other while enjoying social interaction. The ethos of the u3a movement is reflected in its motto: "Learn, Laugh, Live". There are now over 1,000 u3as in the United Kingdom and many more worldwide.

‘u3a’ means 'University of the Third Age’ where the 'u' represents the university of life, not formal studying. Salisbury & District u3a was founded in 1987 - one of the earliest as the first UK u3a was set up in 1983.

Each u3a is run by a committee elected by members. Meet our current Committee,

Like most u3a groups we are a registered charity (Charity No. 1041321) and affiliated to the Third Age Trust. There is a national website that gives more information about the organisation and its activities, nationally and regionally. Click on this link to find out more about the Third Age Trust .
