Group Description:
Using SWR or GWR trains (or very occasionally bus), we stop at a variety of stations to visit a place of interest, gallery, museum, garden, church or just a historical walk, finishing with lunch. We meet at Salisbury railway station and full details of each trip will be sent out by email. Allow a good half day. Some of the jaunts we have done - Sherborne Castle; Southampton City Art Gallery; Messums at Tisbury; a guided tour of Romsey Abbey. SS Great Britain; a guided tour of Bath and a visit to Two Temple Place London to view a John Ruskin exhibition. This Group will now restart on Thursday 17 September 2026 . Six trips on third Thursday of each month September to April - none in December or January. Railriders will continue in 2026/2027 in the same way, with the first new session commencing on Thursday 17 September 2026.
